Florida Shooting Survivor Reveals CNN Gave Him Anti-Gun SCRIPT to Read on Air

A survivor of last week’s mass shooting has just spoken out to reveal how CNN tried to use him to fuel their gun control agenda.

Ever since last week’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida that left 17 people dead and 14 injured, CNN has been shamelessly trying to use the tragedy to push for gun control. Now, survivor Colton Haab has come forward to say that he was approached by CNN to ask a question at Wednesday night’s town hall but decided not to after the network gave him a “scripted question,” rejecting the one he had written himself.

Haab, a junior member of ROTC at the school who shielded students while the gunman was firing, said he was going to ask about using veterans as armed security guards

“CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted,” Haab said, according to Real Clear Politics.

CNN aired a Town Hall about the Florida shooting that included Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Bill Nelson (D-FL) as well as NRA’s Dana Loesch and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. The Town Hall was moderated by Jake Tapper and involved students and parents asking questions about gun control and gun safety.

“I expected to be able to ask my questions and give my opinion on my questions,” Haab said.

“Colton Haab, a member of the Junior ROTC who shielded classmates in the midst of terror says he did not get to share his experience,” WPLG’s Janine Stanwood explained. “Colton wrote questions about school safety, suggested using veterans as armed school security guards but claims CNN wanted him to ask a scripted question instead so he decided not to go.”

“CNN had originally asked me to write a speech and questions and it ended up being all scripted,” Haab said. “I don’t think that it’s going get anything accomplished. It’s not gonna ask the true questions that all the parents and teachers and students have.”

CNN released a brief statement denying that any of this happened.

“CNN did not, and does not, script any questions for town hall meetings, ever,” the network said.

It’s pathetic that CNN is exploiting a group of teenagers who just survived a deadly massacre for their own personal gain. SHARE this story if you think CNN is FAKE NEWS!
