Now, however, the brother of a Sandy Hook victim has come forward to blow this narrative out of the water.
Mad World News reported that Joseph “JT” Lewis lost his 6 year-old brother Jesse at Sandy Hook, and he is not happy that the child’s name is being used by the gun-grabbing left now. Though Lewis commended the Parkland students for making their voices heard, he added that he does not agree with their radical anti-gun agenda.
“I disagree with a lot of what they are saying,” Lewis said. “First of all, I do support the Second Amendment. I think it’s important to own a gun. Some of my family members have owned guns their entire lives, and it’s important. It’s in the Constitution.”
He explained that since Sandy Hook, security has been increased in Newtown schools, which he called a good “short-term solution.” The long term solution Lewis believes is necessary is called the “walk up not walk out” initiative.
“You go and you talk to that kid who sits alone in school. That kid who is obviously suffering, and you try to make friends with him, you try to give him a friend,” Lewis said. “Sometimes, that’s all they need is just some connection with other people.”
Lewis also supports President Donald Trump’s idea of arming and training teachers.
“I know that’s a great deterrent,” he said. “If you’re a kid going into school and you’re going to try to shoot up the place and there are guns inside the school, you’re not going to do it. It’s a perfect deterrent.”
When asked what causes school shootings, Lewis blamed the mainstream media.
“They give them airtime constantly after a shooting for months and they put their picture all over and that is a great way to create another school shooter,” he said.
Of course, the mainstream media would never interview Lewis because he does not subscribe to their anti-gun agenda. SHARE this story so we can give Lewis the attention his story deserves!
